Lifeboat Luke – the search and rescue adventure series for 4-7 year olds and their salty grandparents, is ready to help everyone stay safe at the seaside this summer.

Lifeboat Luke is the fun and exciting animated series set in the mad and magical Irish seaside town of Donaghadoo. Luke, along with his animal friends and his crew rescue the improbable, the reckless and the irresponsible from danger while at sea. The 52 part series is currently being broadcast in over 30 countries around the world, including Ireland, South Africa, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Portugal and Slovenia but unfortunately it is not on any UK screens yet. But don’t worry, as you can still get your fix of Lifeboat Luke action as the series of 5 minute long animated cartoons is available to buy on DVD. Donaghadoodle-One is the DVD of the first 13 episodes of Lifeboat Luke and is currently available to buy at www.lifeboatluke.tv. The first ever episode of Lifeboat Luke – Rubberduckadoo – is also available to buy as an entertaining read-a-long picture book.

The series has been made in association with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution as each episode teaches its young audience about the importance of sea and beach safety. When weird shapes with glowing eyes wash up on the shores of Donaghadoo one moonlit night, everyone from the inquisitive to the incontinent can agree: something spookachillious is afoot. But before Lifeboat Luke can investigate, he’s called out to rescue the cringeyful crew of the HMS Behemoth. With a screak and a blurble, the stricken ship is swallowed by the sea… and the glowing eyes return. What ARE they?

Donaghadoo’s shiftasneaky seadogs, Stanley and George, fling away their fishing rods in favour of deep sea salvage with the aid of a slaptrapclappadash crane-mounted claw. Unfortunately for the dim-witted duo, their mucky ship’s lucky dip pulls up an deep sea danger – an undersea electrical cable! Hokey fyffe! Luke to the rescue!

When a larger-than-lunch celebrity chef comes to town, the search is on for the elusivous and cryptozoominous Luminous Herring of Donaghadoo. A tipsy tub and a wayward wake shake the poor chef into a pickledillydilemma. She should have brought some ice cream; it would have gone well with the jellyfish!
Woofaloofaboing

Twitchers chasing the Chipperous Chuffinch, the buoyant Beaufort and her bungee balloon, a carrot collecting Coxswain, an unflappable American Indian aeronaut, a mustachioed mountaineer and a lovable, lifesaving lifeboat combine their skills to rescue Mrs Goofrey and her mischiefmutinous mutt!
