Who is Straandlooper?
Straandlooper is a compact, perfectly formed studio located in Holywood, the jewel of North Down. The company looks creatively and optimistically at the global animation market, originating content for as many outlets and audiences as it can shake a stick at.
We are interested in partnering with other like minded companies on the development and production of IP for digital media, and are keen to give the advertising industry access to the talent and experience within the studio.
And why Straandlooper, you might ask. Well, Straandlooper is Afrikaans for Beach Walker. Straandloopers were early ancestors of the Kalahari Bushmen; they were small, fine boned and had massive crania. Dr Lyall Watson, in his book Earthworks, imagines them as thoughtful, playful, naturally spiritual people, full of ideas. Everyone other than Dr Lyall Watson regarded them as useless freaks.
