Don’t offer a swimming with dolphins experience and then go to sea with a dodgy anchor and flare gun! Show some sense and get today’s free iApp Luke Spotisode8 : Rustytroubletub and find out what becomes of them!

SPOTISODE 8: RUSTYTROUBLETUB

George and Stanley are up to their bumbling buffoonery again, and this time they’ve brought the gullibliferous Goofreys with them. A Donaghadolphin swim adventure sounds like a fine idea for starters, but as it happens, the Rusty Tub is not a fit vessel for sea man or sea mammal. Somebody call Lifeboat Luke!

But what is a Spotisode? Well, it’s not just a show – it’s a Spotisode! Watch an episode of Lifeboat Luke, but don’t just sit there like a drifting dinghy; get those ogling gogglers and fidgeting fingers jiggling jogglingly! Every Spotisode comes with a complete 5 minute episode of Lifeboat Luke. Watch the episode, but keep your eyes open for the items in your Spotlist – a sock, a spoon, a schlump of seaweed, stuff like that. If you see one, tap the screen! There are 20 items to find in each Spotisode, so keep playing until you find them all!

In case you didn’t know, Lifeboat Luke is a brave young lifeboat from the mad, magical, Irish seaside town of Donaghadoo. Luke, Ardal the Coxswain and the rest of the stalwart & steadfast crew are responsible for the rescue of the reckless, the improbable and the irresponsible. Lifeboat Luke is an exciting search & rescue children’s animation series. It’s the first 52-part animation series to be produced entirely in Ireland, and is currently being broadcast in over 20 countries worldwide.

Don’t have an iPhone? Don’t worry! You can still get involved in the Lifeboat Luke action. Straandlooper have also released a Book of the first ever episode of Luke – Rubberduckadoo and a DVD of the first 13 episodes of the series. Both these products can be purchased at www.lifeboatluke.tv, where you can also get involved in lots more online games and activities! And if you buy both the Book and DVD on the website you will get a £1 off your order! Hokey Fyffe!

SPOTISODE 7: FLIGHTYKITEYBAA

What do an aerorabbitangleful kite festival, an ganneflounderiftwood surfing crustacean, two photofoolishiftyclifty ramblers, a woolaboolawisp of a sheep, and a trampastretchy trawling net all have in common.
SPOTISODE 6: RIGADIDDLEYSASTER

The Inspector of Lifeboats, Sir Horatio McNemesis, is famous for three things. One: his nitpickety persnickety attention to rules, regulations, and punctuality. Two: his higgledy-halfpint height, inversely proportional to the legislative power he wields. And three: his unmatchable, unflappable and unbelievable combover. Luke will have to get up pretty early to pass this man’s tests!

Well, today is the first of September and as promised we are giving away a free Lifeboat Luke Spotisode iApp every day throughout the month to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the RNLI Lifeboat being stationed in the Irish seaside town of Donaghadee.

Today, the first ever Lifeboat Luke iApp – Luke Spotisode1 : Rubberduckadoo – is currently available for free download on iTunes! Jefferson Airplane!!!

SPOTISODE 1: RUBBERDUCKADOO
When weird shapes with glowing eyes wash up on the shores of Donaghadoo one moonlit night, everyone from the inquisitive to the incontinent can agree: something spookachillious is afoot. But before Lifeboat Luke can investigate, he’s called out to rescue the cringeyful crew of the HMS Behemoth. With a screak and a blurble, the stricken ship is swallowed by the sea… and the glowing eyes return. What ARE they?

Hokey Fyffe! Lifeboat Luke and Straandlooper are planning on turning the month of September into Spot-ember, by giving away free Lifeboat Luke ‘Spotisode’ iPhone games every day, culminating in the launch of 4 new Spotisodes at the end of the month.

Lifeboat Luke, the animated kids TV series for 4-7 year olds and their salty grandparents, has been making waves on the iTunes App store throughout 2010 with the release of interactive games for the iPhone and iPod Touch called ‘Spotisodes’. To date Straandlooper has released 26 of the fun and exciting games, which not only feature a 5 minute episode of the search and rescue adventure show but also an interactive ‘spotting’ game which allows the young audience to play along with Lifeboat Luke and give themselves a chance to win exclusive colouring pages at www.lifeboatluke.tv/spotisode

The locally produced series, set in the mad and magical Irish seaside town of Donaghadoo, is planning the free giveaway to celebrate the centenary year of the Lifeboat in the real life town of Donaghadee in Northern Ireland, who have been saving lives at sea off the County Down coast for a hundred years.

Each Spotisode follows the adventures of Lifeboat Luke and his crew as they rescue the improbable, the reckless and the irresponsible, introducing the young audience to important sea and water safety issues. Made in association with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, the charity that saves lives at sea in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, a percentage of all profits go towards helping the volunteer crews of the RNLI.

The first Spotisode ‘Spotisode1 : Rubberduckadoo’ will be available for free download from iTunes on Wednesday September 1st, with a new Spotisode being made available every day throughout the month, until the launch of brand new Spotisodes from the 26th to the 30th September. The 52 part series is currently being broadcast in over 30 countries around the world, including Ireland, South Africa, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Portugal and Slovenia but unfortunately it is not on any UK screens yet. But don’t worry, as you can still get your fix of Lifeboat Luke action as the series of 5 minute long animated cartoons is available to buy on DVD. Donaghadoodle-One is the DVD of the first 13 episodes of Lifeboat Luke and is currently available to buy at www.lifeboatluke.tv.
